The Ps vita looks stunning and graphics is spectacular. I never had seen this kind of quality on any other portable console. Eventhough vita is a portable console; its games are composed of so many details. It’s not yet revealed what kind of storage media ps vita is using. And so far we know is they are using a new media called NVG card. Whatever it is nvg card is pretty good. By looking at the vita games we can definitely assume that the new storage media can store game details like in Blu-ray. I doubt the new media is a modified blue-ray disk for ps vita. Anyway, the games are look beautiful. See more about ps vita memory card here
Ps vita graphics processor
Ps vita using four core 200 MHz SGX543MP4+ (5 series) graphics processor to power up its graphics and has a screen resolution of 960* 544. Current devices such as Apple ipad2, Apple A5 are using processor in this series. The next series of this product (6 series) code named ‘rogue’ is still development. And this processor is fully compatible with previous GPUs (5-series). So there’s a probability for vita 2.0 or something with better graphics in near feature with new GPU. SO, the next generation games can be played with full compatibility.
Ps vita Graphics engine
There is a video demo to show you the graphics engine that vita using. Developers say that it can squeeze most out from the game than any other game engine. So, far analyzing the ps vita games this is true. See this vision game engine demo video.

i'm sorry but your comment on a vita 2.0 having better graphics simply does not make sense. all GPUs are "backwards compatable" in that they are all simply graphics processors, some are just faster or slower than others.
ReplyDeletecontinuing your thought of a graphics upgrade for the vita, if the vita were to get a hardware upgrade, all the games would then have to be vita 2.0 specific to take advantage of the hardware. you cant have a developer being forced to make two seperate versions of a game (a high graphics and low graphics) and optimize for both GPUs, it just simply isn't worth it!
by the way this is why we're still playing our ps3 and xbox games on 7-8 year old hardware, no the slim is not a hardware upgrade. it's a case upgrade.
