At the end of December 2011 the PS Vita has been born. It changed the current handheld gaming with new touch controls and spectacular display. But the Sales were poor initially. But that has been changed lately with new game releases. And sales have been doing well.
The Previous Contenders
The previous worthy contenders are 3DS XL, Razor’s Fiona Gaming tablet, Apple IPhone 5 and some android gaming devices. The 3DS is the direct competitor for PS vita but lacks punch. Apple comes up with IPhone 5 and it’s not a direct competitor or threat. But razor’s tablet “Fiona” absolutely beats PS Vita.

PS Vita Graphics VS Surface Graphics - The Two Graphical Powerhouses
The PS Vita produces unbelievable visuals pretty similar to PS3 and in some cases it overcomes ps3 graphics. But that was the case in first party titles. Surface’s graphics chip is very powerful. Early in July Microsoft exec Don Mattrick mentioned that the upcoming first-person shooter Halo 4 will work with Surface at Gamesbeat 2012. What that means to you? And that explains a lot about surface’s graphics power.
The Future – Games and Price
Ultimately the games and price are the two factors which determine the winner here. The PS vita games library is large and still expanding. Previous generation PSOne classics and PSP games are works on Vita. And there are hundreds of games playable. The Microsoft surface is not yet released but there are thousands of pc games are currently available on the market. And what is promising is “XBOX games are playable on Windows 8 OS”. What if Crysis 3, WatchDogs and HALO 4 released for Surface. From the moment then on PS Vita’s GAME OVER! The price is the other factor. People still say vita is still overpriced. But with bundles, Sony offers great value to the system. Surface price is not announced yet. If surface comes with a $199 price tag then PS Vita may become history. But what is worth noting here is MS surface will compete against Apple IPad and not PS Vita. As i promised the winner must be announced.
